Looking back at this week's blood glucose management, it was a week with a significant shift in blood glucose patterns between the first and second half of the week. Overall, the average blood glucose level was 181 mg/dL, and the Time in Range (TIR) was 48.4%. Although the time spent within the target range was slightly less than half, I could feel my control improving day by day, which kept me feeling positive.
A particularly positive aspect was that the average blood glucose level gradually decreased toward the latter half of the week, settling at 127 mg/dL on Friday. On the other hand, I noticed some periods where blood glucose trended high from nighttime to early morning, as well as times during the day when it dropped close to hypoglycemia. Next week, I want to focus on stabilizing nighttime levels and preventing sharp daytime drops, aiming for more comfortable and steady control.
Weekly Trend Analysis
Let's take a closer look at this week's weekly trend. The weekly average blood glucose level was 181 mg/dL, and the Time in Range (TIR: the percentage of time blood glucose remains within the target range of 70–180 mg/dL) was 48.4%. Additionally, the coefficient of variation (CV), which measures blood glucose variability, was 32.0%. Since this is below the generally recommended threshold of 36%, the overall blood glucose fluctuations can be considered relatively stable.
The highest level recorded was 306 mg/dL on Tuesday at 14:45, and the lowest was 66 mg/dL on Thursday at 14:30. In the second half of the week, there was an increase in the time blood glucose stayed below the green baseline (180 mg/dL), which was a positive change. Note that GMI (Glucose Management Indicator/estimated HbA1c) and comparison data with the previous week could not be confirmed from the images in this report. I hope to carry the stable momentum from the latter half of this week into next week.
Daily Summary Analysis
Looking at the daily summary for each day of the week, there is a clear trend change between the first and second half of the week. Starting with an average of 190 mg/dL on Sunday, followed by 222 mg/dL on Monday, and a weekly high average of 235 mg/dL on Tuesday, levels remained generally high during the first half. It is possible that the portion sizes and content of meals, or the typical busyness at the start of the week, had some influence during this period.
However, things gradually improved from Wednesday onward. The average fell to 162 mg/dL on Thursday, and on Friday, I achieved the week's best average of 127 mg/dL. On Friday, my blood glucose levels remained stable throughout the day, and I felt very light and energetic. From Thursday to Saturday, the lowest blood glucose levels dropped to around 66–71 mg/dL from afternoon to late afternoon, suggesting a need to adjust daytime activity levels or the timing of lunch and snacks.
AGP Analysis
Let's analyze the Ambulatory Glucose Profile (AGP), which overlays 24-hour glucose variability patterns. Looking at this, from nighttime to early morning (around 00:00 to 06:00), the median (dark blue line) trends above 200 mg/dL, indicating a hyperglycemic tendency. Since glucose levels remain relatively high during sleep, there may be room for improvement in the timing and menu of dinner.
Looking at daytime trends, there is a temporary rise after breakfast around 08:00, followed by a sharp drop toward 14:30 in the afternoon. During this time, the 5th percentile (the lower limit of the light-shaded area showing the lowest variability range) falls below 70 mg/dL, indicating an increased risk of temporary hypoglycemia. After evening, levels rise gradually again, leading to high nighttime glucose after 21:00. Preventing the sharp drop in the early afternoon and the high levels overnight will be key points moving forward.

Summary
Although levels were slightly high in the first half of the week, it was a wonderful week as I managed to bring control back on track toward the second half. Being able to visually understand my body's rhythms and when blood glucose is most likely to fluctuate makes planning solutions much more encouraging.
